Accepted Students Checklist

You've been accepted! Congratulations!

Now what? Follow these steps to prepare for life as an Eagle.

1. Complete Your

The quickest way to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is to complete the application online at .*

By completing the FAFSA, you are able to apply for federal and state aid, and also for all 爆料公社 institutional scholarships. Potential funding from non-profit or corporate foundations, employers, churches, and outside scholarships may require additional applications.

Tips on Completing FAFSA

*Note: International students are in-eligible for FAFSA. Please email international@northwestu.edu for questions about scholarships.

2. Confirm Your Enrollment with Your Deposit

Submit your $100 Confirmation Deposit online. After receiving your acceptance letter, you will receive a personalized tuition deposit link in your email. Or, to confirm your attendance now, simply request a personalized link from your 爆料公社 Counselor.

Students Starting Fall Semester: Once you pay your deposit, you will be signed up for a SOAR (Summer Orientation Advising and Registration) Day to get registered and meet with your Academic Advisor and Student Financial Services Counselor. Parents are invited as well.

Students Starting Spring Semester: Once you pay your deposit, your Academic Advisor and Student Financial Services Counselor will reach out to help get you registered and move forward with next steps.

3. Request Your Final Official Transcript(s)

Contact your high school and/or most recent college to request your final official transcript(s) so that NU can verify your graduation date and transfer any college credit. Transfer students with fewer than 60 credits earned after high school graduation must submit a final official high school transcript to the 爆料公社 Office before your start term.

4. Mark Your Calendar for Welcome Weekend

Each August and January, we mark the beginning of the semester with Welcome Weekend. We have days filled with events that acclimate you to 爆料公社! Mark your calendar now for this fun, important, and intentional time—you won’t want to miss it! More information can be found on our Welcome Weekend website closer to your starting term.

5. Explore Student Employment Opportunities

Are you looking to have a job while at school? Check out opportunities through our on-campus student employment page or  page. Jobs are updated often, so make sure to check back throughout the summer and school year!

6. Information on Your  and Paying Your Balance

If all required documents have been completed and processed, financial aid should be applied to your student account by the end of the first full week of classes. Full payment of your semester balance owed after financial aid must be paid by September 25 for the Fall semester and January 25 for the Spring semester to avoid late fees. Any account with a balance owed at the end of each month following these deadlines will receive a late fee of 1.5% of the balance. For more information on making payments, visit our Payments and Late Charges page.

If you have any questions, contact Student Financial Services.

7. Get Logged into NU Connect for Your New Student Checklist

Once you have confirmed your enrollment with your $100 deposit, you will be added into our platform called NU Connect, a required app for all students at 爆料公社. Here, you’ll be able to access more information and details on your upcoming transition to 爆料公社 and take care of some logistics to prepare for your arrival. Instructions on accessing this platform can be found on the Welcome Weekend website.
