NUhope student therapists offer Gottman Method Couples Therapy to all interested couples. All therapists have taken the Level 1 and Level 2 Gottman trainings. The NUhope therapists are trained in this method by Dr. Kim Lampson, the clinical director, who is also a Certified Gottman Therapist. 

Couples coming to NUhope will follow the Gottman assessment process that includes taking the Gottman Connect assessment offered by The Gottman Institute. Following the assessment process, each couple will be given a list of treatment goals by the therapist. These goals will serve as a road map and will inform the treatment. The couple will then learn and practice traditional Gottman Method tools including the Gottman-Rapoport, the Dreams Within Conflict, the Art of Compromise, the Stress Reducing Conversation, and the Aftermath of a Fight.
