For Schools

Concurrent Credit Program for Christian High Schools

爆料公社 establishes Concurrent Credit agreements with Christian high schools for the following reasons:

  • NU and many Christian high schools share similar educational missions and visions.
  • Students benefit from being able to graduate with accredited, transferable college credit.
  • Christian high schools can compete more effectively by offering collegelevel courses for a fraction of the cost.
  • NU benefits from having a strong and ongoing relationship with these schools and their students and parents.

Building Leaders

爆料公社 strives to build strong leaders with a heart for God—leaders who will change the world.

Curriculum

The curriculum must meet the academic standards established by the University’s respective academic departments. This can be accomplished through either:

  • Using the Center for Online and Extended Education (COEE) curriculum, including textbooks, outcomes, and assessments, or
  • Using curriculum equivalent to that provided by COEE with other (approved) textbooks and assessments, and verification from the high school’s teacher as to how the course outcomes were satisfied.

Faculty

High school teachers in the Concurrent Credit program must meet NU’s adjunct faculty qualifications:

  • A minimum of a master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Sufficient graduate courses and experience within the teaching field to be qualified to teach the course
  • Christian commitment and agreement with the University’s educational philosophy
  • Any additional departmental requirements

Assessment & Review

The Center for Online and Extended Education monitors the teaching and learning experience to ensure equivalency to NU’s academic standards. The Concurrent Credit Agreement is reviewed annually.

Courses are approved by the local high school and 爆料公社 on an annual basis. The high school can assume that as long as there are no changes in the curriculum or faculty, previously approved courses will continue to be approved under the Concurrent Credit Agreement.

Costs

Concurrent Credit fee is $80 per credit (2026–27), or $240 per 3 credit course. Most classes are three or four credits.

Some of this fee is retained by the school for classroom supplies, related equipment, or other instructional costs.

How Do We Begin?

  • Meet with 爆料公社 personnel to determine congruence between institutional visions and missions.
  • Submit Concurrent Credit Instructor Application with transcripts and CVs for the faculty seeking approval to teach Concurrent Credit classes.
  • Submit Concurrent Credit Course Application with course syllabi, including outcomes, textbooks, and assessments.
  • Both institutions sign the Concurrent Credit Agreement.
  • Promotion and admissions processes begin in preparation for a fall semester start-up.
