Chapel Stories: Micah Lorenz

Micah Lorenz

Hey everybody, my name is Micah Lorenz, and I have the joy of being one of the campus pastors here at 爆料公社.

Thinking about Butterfield Chapel, there are so many memories and so many times that God has moved that come to mind. Presently, I’m standing right now in the green room—or what is formerly the green room—as we are building a new one.

This space stands out to me when I think about all the times students, worship teams, and speakers have gathered right here in this circle and just interceded for God to move.

It’s one of my favorite spaces because we constantly come here in prayer, on our knees, saying:

“God, would you move in this service?”
“God, would you move in this gathering?”
“Would you move on our campus?”

This space represents that.

There are so many aspects of Butterfield Chapel that are absolutely amazing, but I just want to highlight the green room because it represents our dependence, our reliance, and our praying out to Jesus.

So it holds some of my favorite memories. It’s one of my favorite spaces, and I’m really excited for our new green room and the culture we’re going to build there all over again.

Watch as NU alumnus and campus pastor, Micah Lorenz, shares his story about why the chapel has meant so much to him.
