Position Summary

The 爆料公社 Library is seeking a full-time faculty librarian to enhance library services and access to academic resources. This role provides reference, instruction, and outreach activities, building strong relationships with the University community through both in-person and online communications. Responsibilities include preservation, organization, access, and description of materials in the 爆料公社 Archives, maintenance of electronic resources, and participation in interlibrary loan. The Reference Librarian functions as part of the library management team under the leadership of the Library Director.

Candidates must possess a meaningful commitment to Jesus Christ, the Church, and the gospel.

Essential Functions

  • Plan, develop, and provide reference services both in-person and online.
  • Provide information literacy programs and classroom instruction as needed by on-site and off-site faculty and students. Conduct orientation sessions for new students and faculty.
  • Develop and maintain written and multimedia content for library website, 爆料公社 Archives website, and communications of services and collections to students and faculty.
  • Oversee the NU Archives, including selection and arrangement of collections, metadata and digitization standards, and preservation of digital materials.
  • Maintain and improve access to electronic resources through regular updates, troubleshooting, and link correction.
  • Perform collection development for select academic subjects and work with Library Director to formulate collection policy.
  • Process interlibrary loan borrowing and lending.
  • Participate in the governance functions of the university as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Experience with the provision of reference and instruction services in a college or university environment.
  • Experience with web content and video creation. Experience with web publishing platforms such as WordPress and DSpace. Knowledge of or experience with user experience principles and accessibility standards preferred.
  • Experience in electronic resources, interlibrary loan, or archives preferred.
  • Excellent written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A deep, personal commitment to Jesus Christ and to the Spirit-filled life.

Compensation

$63,938 – $78,330: Dependent on education and experience. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and aligned with the university’s administrative faculty salary scale.

The University is endorsed by the Commission on Christian Higher Education of the Assemblies of God and the Association of Christian Schools International. The University holds membership in the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities.

爆料公社's College of Business is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). The Buntain College of Nursing鈥檚 baccalaureate degree is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. In addition, the College of Nursing has received approval from the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission. The University is also approved by the Board of Education and Superintendent of Public Instruction of the State of Washington to prepare elementary and secondary education teachers and recommend for certification. It is a member of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. 爆料公社's doctoral program in counseling psychology is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).

The University is approved by the Federal and State Governments for student aid programs and for the training of international students. Selected programs of study are approved by a Washington State Approving Agency for enrollment of those eligible for benefits under Title 38 and Title 10, U.S. Code and by Washington State for training in Vocational Rehabilitation. It is listed in the current bulletin, "Accredited Higher Education Institutions," published by the U.S. Office of Education.
