2027-28 First-Year Student Scholarships

Academic Scholarships

Academic Scholarships are renewable for up to 4 years. Eligibility:

Presidential Scholarship

Amount: Full tuition (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: ±¬ÁϹ«Éç invites qualifying students to a scholarship day based on a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher. Up to four students are offered the Presidential scholarship. Recipients receive automatic entry into the NU Honors Program.

Honors Program

Amount: $1,000 (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Students who are invited to the Honors Program and maintain satisfactory participation in the program on an annual basis. ±¬ÁϹ«Éç invites qualifying students to a scholarship event based on a cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Program Scholarship

Amount: $1,000-$4,000 per year (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: ±¬ÁϹ«Éç invites qualifying students to a scholarship event based on a cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher. Students with a GPA below 3.0 may be invited, pending availability of spaces. Scholarship amounts range based on evaluation during scholarship events.

Visit Scholarship

Amount: $500 for first visit; $1,000 for two visits (up to two visits for a total of $1,000; one-time scholarship)

Eligibility: For the $500 scholarship, student participation in an on-campus visit including any ±¬ÁϹ«Éç-sponsored event and individual visits. For the $1,000 scholarship, one visit must include an overnight stay – Overnight, Presidential Scholarship or Backstage.


Affiliations/Partnerships

Students can receive up to $2,000 from the following:

Christian High School Scholarship

Amount: $1,000 (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Available to graduates of a private Christian high school with a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.

Direct Admit Partner Scholarship

Amount: $500 (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Available to graduates of a private Christian high school that is part of NU’s Direct Admit program. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.

College in High School Partner Scholarship

Amount: $500 (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Available to graduates of a private Christian high school who have completed at least one course through NU’s College in High School programs (Concurrent Credit or Early College Online). Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.

Homeschool Partner Scholarship

Amount: $1,000 (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Available to graduates of a homeschool organization recognized by NU. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.

NU Partner Church Scholarship

Amount: $1,000 (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Available to graduates who have regularly attended a ±¬ÁϹ«Éç partner church for a minimum of one year. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.


Talent

Students can receive up to two of the following:

Music Scholarship (Classical Vocal or Instrumental)

Amount: $1,000-$5,000 (amount varies; renewable for up to 4 years based on ongoing participation)

Eligibility: Scholarships are determined based on auditions with music faculty. Students can connect with ±¬ÁϹ«Éç staff to schedule an audition.

Music Scholarship (Worship Vocal or Instrumental)

Amount: $1,000-$5,000 (amount varies; renewable for up to 4 years based on ongoing participation)

Eligibility: Scholarships are determined based on auditions with representatives of NU Worship. Students can connect with ±¬ÁϹ«Éç staff to schedule an audition.

Athletic Scholarship

Amount: Varies; (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Scholarships are determined based on coach’s assessment. Prospective athletes are encouraged to complete the recruitment form on the NU Athletics website.

Fine Arts Scholarship

Amount: $1,000-$5,000 (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Students are awarded one scholarship, the highest of the following amounts, based on individual level of achievement for students who participated in the Assemblies of God Fine Arts program.

Superior (District or Regional) $1,000
Excellent or higher (National) $2,000 (category that does not relate to an NU degree or program)
Excellent or higher (National) $3,000 (category related to an NU degree or program)
Award of Merit (National) $5,000
Bible Quiz

Amount: $1,000-$3,000 (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Students are awarded one scholarship, the highest of the following amounts, based on individual student participation with the Assemblies of God Bible Quiz program for a minimum of two years.

Emerging Leader Scholarship

Amount: Varies; (renewable for up to 4 years; required to live on campus)

Eligibility: Eligible students are invited to apply based on demonstrated leadership experience and potential for involvement at ±¬ÁϹ«Éç.


±¬ÁϹ«Éç and Ministry Support

Students can receive up to two of the following:

Alumni

Amount: $1,000 (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Available to students with at least one parent or grandparent who graduated from ±¬ÁϹ«Éç.

Christian Leader Dependent (pastor, missionary, Christian school teacher, Christian non-profit employee)

Amount: $1,000 (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Available to dependent children of a parent who is a licensed or ordained minister working full-time for a church, serves as a missionary, teaches at a Christian school, or is employed at a Christian non-profit organization.

College of Ministry Scholarship

Amount: Up to $4,000 per year (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Available to students with a major or minor in the College of Ministry who would qualify for the Washington College Grant. Students who are from states outside of Washington are also considered for this scholarship.

Youth Ministries/District Youth Director Scholarship (supporting network nominations, up to five students)

Amount: $1,000 (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Available to students from Assemblies of God churches in supporting networks. Students are encouraged to contact their youth ministries/district youth director about the nomination process.

Called Scholarship

Amount: $1,000 (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: Available to students who participate in the Called program in their Assemblies of God region or district for a minimum of one year.


Need-based

NU Grant

Amount: Varies based on financial need; (renewable for up to 4 years)

Eligibility: A need-based grant available to students. Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required for consideration.

Note: NU scholarship offers of 75% or more of tuition are contingent on living on campus. Students choosing to live off campus may receive a revised scholarship offer.
